The current Coronavirus restrictions say we can travel to Sierra Nevada ONLY IF you have a pre-arranged a Ski Pass.

Extrenieve can arrange this for you.  You need to contact them to get prices as they depend on age, and days you go!

So off to Granada we go!!

Coronavirus:  For your safety this year Extrenieve will have an exclusive fitting room for families or groups of people who live together; and another fitting room for individuals or couples or people who do not live together.  They will continuously disinfect the premises with ozone machines as well.  Also they can arrange *ski passes in advance (see below) so you can avoid the queues which they highly recommend due to current restrictions (see more information below).  They also have accommodation options - contact them direct for information.

These vouchers are valid until the end of the ski season (around April time) Coronavirus permitting!.  

Granada and the sierras are only about 2.5 hours drive from the Costa del Sol, so you could be skiing in the morning and back on the beach in the afternoon!

Choose between one or two days lessons (if you wish you can do 4 hours in one day - please enquire)

• Option 1 - One person - one two hour lesson for 29.90€ instead of 56€
• Option 2 - Two people - one two hour lesson for 49.90€ instead of 112€
• Option 3 - One person, two days - 2 two hour lessons for 49.95€ instead of 112€
• Option 4 - Two people, two days - 2 two hour lessons for 89.90€ instead of 220€

- Boots, skis, poles or a snowboard are included in the price.

- You can keep using the equipment from 8.30 am until 17.00 pm - so you can stay on the slopes and practice what you have learnt.

*The ski-pass is NOT included, however as part of the service, Extrenieve can arrange your Ski Pass when you call to book!  The price depends on when you visit, how many days, your age etc. They will let you know the cost, and then you pay them by bank transfer (currently credit card not accepted). The pass will be ready for you to pick up on arrival, with no waiting in any queues.  

All classes take place at 10am, 12pm and 2 pm.

There are three levels of group classes for you to choose from:

1. Beginner

2. Intermediate ( green and blue runs )

3. Advanced

Classes take place with groups of 4 or more, maximum 6, so why not take all the family or some friends to make up the group.

If the minimum group size is not reached, the class will still go ahead but it will be shorter.

You can take the children. The minimum age for skiing lessons and snowboarding is 5 years.

Please note that the deal includes the free use of boots, poles, skis or a snowboard but not clothing, ski goggles, gloves and helmets. However these can be rented separately if required.

Extrenieve can also help provide accommodation and ski pass, more tutoring, ski clothes, gloves and goggles rental.

Sierra Nevada Resort - General Coronavirus Regulations 

In Plaza de Andalucía there will be a queue organization system to guarantee the distance between skiers. The same measures will be applied in the ATMs and the accesses to the Borreguiles and Al Ándalus cable cars.

It is important to avoid crowds and therefore one of the cable cars that connects Pradollano with Borreguiles (probably the Al Ándalus cable car) will open half an hour earlier than usual , that is, at 8:30 a.m.

❄ Borreguiles cable car: 6 people per cabin. (on a total capacity of 8 people).

❄ Al-Ándalus cable car: 8 people per cabin. (on a total capacity of 14 feet).

These limitations may be overcome as long as it is a family unit living in the same address.

As for the rest of the lifts (chair lifts, ski lift and carpets), since you are outdoors, the ski resort has decided to maintain its usual capacity. Of course, at the accesses to these lifts, skiers are requested to keep a safe distance.

Smoking is totally prohibited in the lifts, entrances and boarding areas.

Cetursa Sierra Nevada communicates that the cleaning and disinfection service in common spaces will be reinforced and the ski lifts will be cleaned with environmentally friendly disinfectant products.

All the ski and snowboard rental stores that are managed by Cetursa Sierra Nevada limit the capacity and will signal it so that you can consult it before entering the store. Did you know that you can go to the store the afternoon before you go skiing? In this way you will have everything ready to make the most of your time on the slopes and avoid concentrations of people waiting outside the stores;)

All material will be cleaned with disinfection products after use.

Will you be able to eat in Sierra Nevada this winter? The restaurant Bodega in Pradollano and all the restaurants on the slopes that are managed by Cetura Sierra Nevada, will set a capacity and put visible signage in indoor and outdoor areas, showing what areas can be occupied.

Measures and regulations for capacity can change at any time depending on what the health authority dictates.
