About the Bioparc Fuengirola
It is a zoo where animals coexist in a recreation of their natural habitat. A concept called zoo immersion that allows you to immerse yourself in the natural environment of the animals. You will experience an authentic adventure into the deepest tropical forests of Madagascar, Equatorial Africa, Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific islands.
Thanks to the original design of the park, the animals behave naturally because they feel as if they are living in their own natural habitat. The welfare of the animals is the most important factor for the zoo accommodating to their biological and physiological needs and reproducing their natural habitat to help the animals feel and behave as they naturally would in the wild.
On the island of Madagascar, you can discover a spectacular Baobab, the African tree that has become an icon, not only for the Bioparc but also for Fuengirola. It is a replica of the species Andansonia digitata and has become one of the largest trees in the world. Did you know that inside it can hold up to 6,000 litres of water?
Learn about the park´s conservation efforts and walk through recreated habitats like the mangrove swamp, the desert and the tropical forest.
