What a brilliant offer from the Bodega Fabrica de Hojalata!

In 1725, the Royal Factory of Tin of San Miguel was the first factory in Spain with a blast furnace, and it was the first national steel manufacturer.  This is just the start of the fascinating facts that you will be told when you go to visit this lovely old winery. At the beginning of the 21st century, the Old Factory was rescued from ruin.   The estate has now been returned to its former glory with all the buildings carefully restored using period materials in order to retain its ancient and industrial character.  The Artisan and Ecological Winery that it is today is located in the former sheet metal workshop; in a space which completely respects the features of industrial buildings from the start of the 18th century.

About the Vineyard

The vineyards are worked according to nature’s cycle, by means of observation and astrology, and a close link to the environment.  These biodynamic, organic wines are produced in small quantities, only 15,000 bottles per year, which makes them a truly artesanal product.

The wines produced are from grape varieties: Pinot Noir (red), Moscatel Morisco (dry white), Tintilla (Red), Garnacha (red) and Cabernet (red). So on your tasting you will get to experience a fantastic variety of wines.

Location

It is located just over 1 hours drive from Marbella, in the beautiful countryside off of the road that leads up to Ronda itself.  It's a wiggly, windy road but so worth the effort.

Due to the location of the winery and the winding of its access they offer you the possibility to stay for dinner and sleep once the tasting is finished!

You have two options, and here they are in more detail:

Option 1: Wine Tasting with a 3 course lunch or dinner, historical tour, and a bottle of the vineyards own wine to take home, normally 120€ now only 84€ per person. 

The menu can vary - this is just a sample....  (You can make special requests, they will cater for your dietary requirements)

Appetizer of “chacinas serranas” Iberian cured meats

Ceviche Cuzco style (Peruvian)

Poulard supreme in mozarabe sauce (made with spices, nuts and dried fruits)

Berries soup with cinnamon

Coffee form Nicaragua / Tea Darjeeling

Served with Fabrica de Hojalata Wines

Option 2: One nights accommodation (2 sharing) with breakfast, wine tasting, lunch or dinner, historical tour, and 2 bottles of wine to take home! Normally 450€ now 315€ (157.50€ each).

Lunch or Dinner, you choose, it is the same as above.

Breakfast - you have a choice of bacon, eggs, avocado, toast, tomato, olive oil, ham, and home made preserves.

Accommodation - sleeps 5 couples, 10 people maximum, so you do need to book in advance.  This is rustic, nothing modern about this place, but it has its own faded charm.
