Located in the quiet village of Cartajima, close to Ronda, the pretty village and its surroundings are ideal for artists, walkers, hikers and anyone who likes to experience traditional Andalucía.  There is a public swimming pool as well that is open in the summer for anyone wanting a cooling dip.

There are just 6 rooms in Los Castaños, so of course it is important to check availability.  

All the rooms have ensuite bathrooms, equipped with everything you may need from fluffy bathrobes to Q-tips.  Also a selection of in-room tea and coffee choices, WiFi and a Complementary Minibar with a good choice of sodas, wines, cava and beer.  The rooms all have a half or full balcony with views either to the mountains and/or the village square, reading lights and a lovely added touch, sketching materials! 

Your package also includes a meal for two designed by your host Diana.  She bases it around your likes and dislikes and also on what local produce is available and in season.  Her reputation for delivering excellent food is all over Trip Advisor.  An example of a menu she served recently was:

• Amuse bouche – the chef's nightly whim
• Appetiser – Brik pastry filled with caramelised green apples and local goat cheese
• Main – Pollo al Chilindron – chicken gently cooked with white wine, jamon, red peppers, and tomatoes and served with rice and homemade crispy kale chips
• Dessert – Raspberry Cheesecake

Yum is all we can say!!  And not forgetting it includes a bottle of excellent Ronda wine. 

Everything is homemade from scratch.  It is slow cooked food, so Diana needs to know in advance your dietary preferences (e.g. veggie) and any food allergies.

If you are staying for two nights, you can dine in the hotel again, or there are places to eat in both the village or in Ronda.

Breakfast is also included in your short stay, which is all freshly made to order.  One customer loved what they had, fresh fruit salad, eggs, bread, freshly squeezed orange juice and some local cheeses and meats.

We can't recommend this hotel enough.  You will be incredibly well looked after in a home from home atmosphere and a beautiful rural setting. You'll want to go back for more!
