I was born and educated in Finland, it was in the cities capital Helsinki that my career started. After completing hairdressing college I went on to work in one of the top salons in the city centre. Here I gained a strong understanding of the fine structure of Scandinavian hair which is a little more delicate and requires a little extra attention.

The next step in my career took me to London giving me the perfect opportunity to sharpen up my language skills. Here I worked in some of the well known salons where I still have strong contacts today. While in London I also worked as a free lance makeup artist and hair stylist doing high fashion photo shoots, advertisements and working within the film industry. I gained so much experience and although I loved life in the city it was time to move to a sunnier climate.

I have been living and working in Marbella for over 15 years and proudly opened my own salon in the spring of 2015. I am very keen to stay up to date with the latest fashion trends and developments in hair technology so I enjoy doing regular courses here in Spain and internationally. My passion is in technical work, I love colouring hair as it is amazing how just a little change in shade can make your skin tone more flattering or make your eyes brighter.

I find living in Marbella you need a little outside inspiration to stay on top of your business so I enjoy travelling and seeing what the rest of the world has to offer.

I speak fluent Finnish, English and Spanish.

I opened La Vida by Vera in the spring of 2015 and it just goes from strength to strength. La Vida by Vera is a full service salon where you can get your nails manicured while your highlights develop or have a nice relaxing pedicure while your extensions are being fitted.
