As well as writing walking guides and creating hiking itineraries for British, American and Dutch walking companies, Guy has been leading guided walks in Andalucia for more than 25 years.

He will introduce you to the stunning Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, which is inland just over an hours drive away from Marbella / Estepona.  The park's mountain ranges are known collectively as the Sierra de Grazalema, which, in turn, are part of the Cordillera Subbética.   It also contains a number of large limestone caverns, including the Cueva del Gato, the Cueva de la Pileta and the Garganta Verde. The Sierra de Grazalema is also home to many colonies of vultures, including a few pairs of Egyptian vultures, a species which is seriously threatened. The natural park was declared a biosphere reserve in 1977.

Where to Meet

Guy meets your group either in Grazalema or Montejaque where you transfer up to the trail head via mountain tracks. Generally the walks are between 4 to 6 hours, depending on what kind of hike you are looking for.

Guy suggests his clients come with a picnic and plenty of water, and get ready to be led through hidden valleys, sleepy villages and ancient woodlands!

Of course you should wear comfortable walking boots or trainers, and suitable attire for the weather, plus sun block if needed - it can be necessary even in winter!
