As soon as you step into Hammam Annour you feel a sense of peace!

This beautiful boutique salon in Nueva Andalucia, Marbella, has a stunning mosaic tiled hammam steam room which is booked out privately for each guest or couple (if you decide to go with your partner). 

Strict Covid measures are being followed here of course, with the whole hammam being disinfected after each use.

There is also a separate, softly lit massage room, and a stylishly decorated hair and nail salon area at the front. 

Here's what's included in each of the options - buy any one or a combination!

Option 1: Royal Hammam followed by a relaxing Massage - about 1.5 hours total, normally 145€ now only 80€. 

In the hot steam hammam room, you will be treated to a full body bio exfoliation and massage with "black soap", also known as "savon noir" which contains natural organic ingredients such as rose, eucalyptus, jasmine and rahin.  Also an Oud mask facial and a Ghassoul (a mineral rich natural clay) Body Wrap.

Plus! This is followed by a half hour massage in the warm peaceful massage room.  You can choose any kind of massage you like, relaxing, sports, lymphatic etc.  

Finally you will be served a mint tea and Arabic sweet. 

You can book this on your own, or buy two and go with a friend or your partner!

Option 2: A Hair Cut and Blow Dry, normally 70€ now only 55€. 

Any length of hair, this can be booked on its own, or it might be something to enjoy after having the Hammam treatment above.

Option 3: A full Spa Manicure & Pedicure, about 1 hour, normally 60€ now only 40€.

This is the full spa treatment, with exfoliation, massage, cleaning of cuticles and nails, and finishing with a standard colour polish.  Can also be booked alongside the treatments above.

What to bring

If your treatments or ritual include the use of the hammam, all you need is your swimming costume, bikini or swimming shorts. In the changing rooms of the salon you are provided with bathrobe, towel, slippers and sarong.

Punctuality

You are asked to arrive at the spa 10 minutes in advance of the scheduled time to ensure that the treatment begins at the agreed time. In case of late arrival, the requested treatment time will be shortened to be able to respect the treatment time of subsequent reservations.

More about the Hammam

The hammam and its rituals are an experience to be had either by yourself or to share, where you can enjoy the benefits of traditional Arabic treatments and massages. 

The passage through the hammam is a true ceremony of purification of the body which has many therapeutic benefits - it is known in the East as "the silent doctor." The suspended steam of the Turkish baths opens the pores of the skin, facilitating the expulsion of toxins and preparing it for purification treatments of the body and face.

You are also breathing in air scented with essential oils of eucalyptus and mint which helps the respiratory tract become hydrated and the body oxygenated. 

The humid heat encourages better blood circulation, and metabolic functions are also accelerated, causing a pleasant sensation of well-being.  Many people find it much easier to sleep in the evening after a hammam.

The relaxation of the muscles, usually tense and contracted, is one of the most important effects produced by the heat of the hammam and it is especially so if you follow the ritual with a massage in the separate massage room.  Finally, you are served a mint tea with an Arabic sweet which completes this sublime experience.
